The Department Of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology started functioning in the year 1999. An efficient team of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists work independently and in collaboration with other medical and allied medical departments to diagnose and treat the various problems related to hearing, speech- language and swallowing.
A series of diagnostic tests are administered to identify the cause, type and severity of difficulty in hearing or understanding speech. The tests available are
Rehabilitation services available for individuals diagnosed with hearing loss who may not benefit from medical treatment include hearing aids, speech-language therapy, referral for cochlear implant, auditory verbal therapy and tinnitus retraining therapy.
A comprehensive array of tests is administered and appropriate rehabilitative measures are undertaken to identify what is the speech-language or swallowing problem. Diagnostic and therapeutic services are available for delayed speech-language development, hearing impairment, voice problems, autism, aphasia, cleft of lip and palate, swallowing problems and various other disorders. Therapy sessions are provided under supervision of trained Speech-Language Pathologists. The number of therapy sessions to be provided and the timings are decided based on the need of each patient.

Sunday - 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
