During this period has organized and actively participated in teaching undergraduate and post-graduates in Medicine, Paediatrics and Psychiatry. Actively involved in the training programme for DM post-graduates and was in charge of organizing and implementing the teaching programs. Also conducted bedside teaching, delivered lectures and moderated seminars, journal clubs and other academic activities. Responsibilities included the task of setting entrance examination question papers for selection of DM postgraduates. |
January 1995 -1998 | : | Working as Associate Professor in Neurology,Kasturba Medical College, Manipal and Mangalore, India. Was responsible for setting up the neurology intensive care unit at University Medical centre( the superspeciality hospital of Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore). In addition to routine academic work, was also a guide for MD Medicine postgraduates. |
June 2000 –December 2015 | : | Working as Professor of Medicine (Neurology), involved in teaching final year medical undergraduates and post graduates in Medicine, Pediatrics & Psychiatry. |
April 2007- Present | : | Director, Center for Advanced neurological research. This center which was set up with modest philanthropic donations in 2007, is the first and only clinician driven basic science center at Nitte (Deemed to be University). It grew in stature from a modest PCR laboratory to a research facility with capability for real time PCR work, cell culture and bioassay and Flowcytometry. It is a recognized center for the awarding of PhD in Biosciences. |
