
Welcome to the department of Psychiatry. Our treating team encompasses an amalgamation of Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists and Psychiatric Social Workers who work in collaboration with each other to ensure a holistic approach to all our patients.
With a combination of experienced eminent clinicians, with some of our faculty being trained from the Premier Institutes of our country and abroad; we have been striving to provide a rich clinical and academic experience with a blend of experience, novel evidence based and personalized approach to patients, care givers and students.
Outpatient Department at Justice K. S Hegde Charitable Hospital runs on all days of the week including Sundays. OPD timings are from 9.00 AM to 4.00 PM and on Sundays from 9.00 AM to 1.00 PM.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorders are common mental health problems faced by about 2-3% of general population. Anxiety disorders are most common psychiatric disturbances found in community and patients with various other physical illnesses. People suffering with these disorders often suffer silently and fail to seek help due to various reasons. These disorders contribute remarkably for the disease morbidity burden and reduce the quality of life. We offer a systematic and holistic care in assessment, diagnosis and management of the patients suffering with these disorders by experienced faculty in psychiatry and allied branches trained in premiere institutes which run such speciality clinics.
Special services concerned with assessment and management of age related physical, psychological and social aspects is provided. Special geriatric day care facility to encourage recreational activities to boost overall physical, mental and cognitive functions is conducted.
Special services to help clients to deal with substance use. Both out-patient and in-patient basis are provided. Includes: Tobacco Cessation Clinic (TCC) for both smoking and smokeless tobacco use. Also includes assessment and management of physical and psychiatric co-morbidities alongside of Motivation Enhancement Therapy (MET) and medical management of substance use.
Assessments and management pertaining to the mental health of children is provided. Includes: IQ assessment, Neuropsychiatric evaluation and therapy sessions for children based on their individual needs.
