Interventional radiology Services

Interventional radiology is a medical specialty devoted to advancing patient care through the innovative integration of clinical and imaging-based minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Special services provided under interventional radiology include

  1. Laser ablation of varicose veins – endovenous laser ablation.

  2. No scar treatment for uterine fibroid – uterine fibroid embolization.

  3. Pinhole treatment for liver, kidney, and lung cancer and thyroid nodule – microwave ablation / Transarterial chemoembolization / Transarterial radioembolization.

  4. Non-surgical treatment of complications of liver cirrhosis – Balloon / Plug assisted retrograde transvenous obliteration of varices (BRTO / PARTO), Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS), partial splenic artery embolization, etc

  5. Stop acute bleeding – embolization of active extravasation and pseudoaneurysm
  6. Treat hemoptysis – Bronchial artery embolization
  7. Pinhole treatment of biliary and urinary obstruction – percutaneous nephrostomy (PCN), percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage (PTBD) and stenting
  8. Scar less treatment of various other disease.
